Meetings: 1st Monday of January, April, July and October. (other meetings TBD)
Responsibilities: Oversee the maintenance and planting of trees within the city right of way.
Nappanee has been a nationally recognized Tree City since 1994 by the Arbor Day Foundation. This is awarded based on tree maintenance, conservation efforts and community outreach.
Residents may request an application to have replacement trees planted or if they would like new plantings. The Tree Board covers all cost but homeowners are responsible for watering and care.
The Tree Board celebrates Arbor Day annually with plantings at each elementary school and has all 3rd graders participate in an essay contest.
The Tree Board also assists with celebrating Earth Day with plantings within the parks.

- City forester will do a site inspection to verify that the tree(s) are within City Right of Way
