The City of Nappanee’s Commissions and Boards provide citizens the opportunity to have a voice in local government. Nappanee residents spend countless hours serving on the City’s commissions and boards. Members are appointed by the Mayor or the City Council. Nappanee residents and corporate citizens, in addition to members from the City and Township Commissions and Boards, provide expertise and input to city officials to make recommendations on various city issues.
City Council:
Meets every 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00pm at City Hall Council Chambers

Meets every 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00am at the Municipal Airport
Board of Zoning Appeals:
Meets every 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm at City Hall Council Chambers
Electrical Licensing Board:
Meets every 1st Thursday of January, April, July and October at 7:00pm at City Hall
Historic Preservation Commission:
Meets every 2nd Tuesday every other month at 9:00am at the City Hall Council Chambers
Parks and Recreation Board:
Meets every 2nd Wednesday at 4:30pm at the Nappanee Center
Plan Commission:
Meets every 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00pm at City Hall Council Chambers
Redevelopment Commission:
Meets every 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00am at the Nappanee Center
Tree Board:
Meets the 1st Monday of January, April, July and October at 6:00pm at City Hall
