Responsibilities
Members of the Board of Zoning Appeals are appointed to four-year terms by the Mayor and approved by the Nappanee City Council. The BZA's power and duties are exclusive within the following areas:

• Variances from adopted development standards;
• Variances of use;
• Special exceptions to adopted standards; and
• Administrative appeals.
